TRANSFER KAMPLA - BWINDI Day 1 Depart from Kampala by road and head south-West to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will have a short stop at the Equator an informative talk as well as a photographic opportunity. We will continue to Mbarara where were we will stop for lunch. Your drive will take you through Uganda rolling green hills through the highlands, also known as the ‘Switzerland of Uganda'. Your road will then head even higher to where you can see the triangular peaks of the Virunga volcanoes of Rwanda and the Congo. We then drop down into a valley, to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home of the mountain gorilla arriving late afternoon giving you time to explore the surroundings after check in at leisure. Tonight you will sleep to the sounds of the mountain rainforest. Overnight at Mantana luxury tented camps/Buhoma Community Bandas (Full Board)

GORILLA TRACKING Day 2: Go gorilla tracking, walking up steep densely forested hills before finally coming across the gorillas camouflaged in the vegetation. An inspiring moment! (This trek can take up to 5 hours – a reasonable degree of fitness is required as well as a sturdy pair of walking shoes) Sit in the forest among the gorillas, listening to them grumble to each other, and marvel at the sheer size of the dominant male; the silverback. It is an extraordinary feeling sitting in the dense rainforest knowing you are with a few of the last remaining mountain gorillas. It's amazing to think there are only about 650 of these beautiful creatures left! Return to lodge to freshen up and late lunch before departing for the border town of Kisoro about under 4 hours drive away a chance to take a nap on the way after todays encounter with Gorillas. Overnight in Kisoro guest house.

GORILLA TRACKING RWANDA: Day 3 After breakfast proceed to Uganda -Rwanda border for clearance and less than an hours drive leads you to parc de volcans( the Virungas) home of the mountain Gorillas.( clock moves back an hour in Rwanda), Gorilla tracking which usually takes lesser time than in Bwindi , if lucky the tracking could take under3 hours in and out of the park. The vegetation here of bamboo and not thick forest like in Bwindi offers a more clear and visual view of the Gorillas for that clearer photos.

Short break after the tracking, then proceed to Ruhengeri town in Rwanda just few kilometres from park to explore the town on foot at leisure through the craft shops etc..Drive back to Uganda to Lake Bunyoonyi just outside Kabaale town. This lake offers beautiful scenic views with its numerous Islands and some of the countries beautiful water birds can be found here.

LAKE BUNYOONYI - KAMPALA VIA LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK   Day 4: Spend more time in bed this morning, wake up to the singing birds and the peace this lake offers to all its visitors or we can use this morning to take a relaxing boat ride on the lake. After your breakfast on the balcony overlooking the lake, proceed to Kampala with stop over for lunch in Mbarara before heading to Lake Mburo national park along the way to Kampala. An hours drive through this park offers you a safari opportunity to see Zebras, Hartebeest, Topi, Impallas and bird species. Head to Kampala for your overnight stay or to the airport if your flight departs late at night.( SN brussels airlines departs Uganda for Europe after 23.00hrs)
